ConnectGen Montgomery County LLC is proposing to submit an application to the state Office of Renewable Energy Siting (ORES) in the third quarter of 2021, to construct the Mill Point Solar Project, a proposed 250 MW solar powered major electric generating facility proposed to be located in the Town of Glen, County of Montgomery, New York. This notice announces that on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, ConnectGen will be hosting a virtual informational meeting for members of the public to learn more about the Project, the Section 94-c permitting process, and the application.

In accordance with New York State public health mandates relating to the COVID-19 pandemic, ConnectGen will be hosting this informational meeting via a web platform. To access the virtual information meeting and live Q&A session on April 14th, 2021, attendees must register in advance online at the following link:

Upon registration, a confirmation email with an individual link will be sent to the registrant. On April 14th at 6:00 PM, click the “Click here to Join” link from the meeting confirmation email. To join by phone for a “listen only” option, dial (929) 436-2866 and enter the access code 931-9903-6517. A compilation of the meeting’s Q&A as well as the full video recording of the informational meeting will be posted on the Project website following the event.

The purpose of the virtual informational meeting is to educate the public about the proposed Project, including the anticipated application date and information regarding the future availability of local agency account funds.  Along with its application for renewable energy siting, ConnectGen must submit $1,000 dollars for each MW of capacity for use by local agencies and potential community intervenors, which for this Project, totals $250,000. Any local agency or potential community intervenor can submit a request to the Office of Renewable Energy Siting for funding within thirty (30) days of the date of the application filing. Seventy-five percent of the local agency account funds shall be reserved for local agencies. Further details will be provided as the filing of the application draws near on www.millpointsolar.com. Intervenor requests should be made to the Office of Renewable Energy Siting, Attention: Request for Local Agency Account Funding, 99 Washington Avenue, Albany, NY 12231-0001.
