Repsol Renewables is developing a large-scale solar project in the Town of Glen in Montgomery County and expects to install up to 250 megawatts (MW) of solar in the area, which has the potential to power over 65,000 homes in New York State annually. The Mill Point Solar I Project is working towards filing a New York State siting application, with a target commercial operation date of 2026.

The Mill Point Solar I Project will Provide Long-Term Benefits to the Town of Glen and Montgomery County

Why Glen?

Repsol Renewables has identified the area within the Town of Glen as suitable for solar development because of its proximity to the existing transmission system with available capacity, site suitability with existing land use, minimal anticipated environmental impacts, and Montgomery County’s history of renewable energy and economic development.

Mill Point Solar I Project Area

Repsol Renewables expects to use approximately 1,124 acres to host project infrastructure, and the project will be wholly located within the town boundary of Glen.
